In 1995-96 I worked as a teacher at Kibosho Girls Secondary School in Moshi Tanzania on the slopes of Kilimanjaro. When I came the school was still run by the Catholic Nun called Sister Consolata. She had built up the school over a long period. I was impressed with how well the school functioned both technically (She knew where all the valves were in the important water system) and academically.\n\nThere were disputes about her running the school and there was a meeting where people from the local diocese discussed suspending her, because she didn\'t take in as many local students as they wanted. This film is from that day. The students were very irritated. Consolata was popular. When the meeting members left they were not exactly given a sweet farewell. There were reports of stone throwing though I didn\'t witness that.\n\nAfter that she talks to the students from her balcony and tries to calm them down.\n\nThis is perhaps of limited interest, but for those that knew Consolata, I\'m sure it will be of interest. She\'s the kind of person that makes a lasting impression. She was suspended shortly after that meeting.\n\nI will be uploading another video from a morning meeting with the students that was shortly after this but before her suspension.
